北京市环境部门近日表示，2017年，北京市收获226个“蓝天”，较2013年的176个有所增加。
Beijing recorded 226 "blue sky" days in 2017, increasing from 176 in 2013, the city's environmental authority said.
据北京市环境保护监测中心副主任刘保献介绍，2017年北京市有害细微颗粒PM2.5年平均浓度降至58微克/立方米，较2013年的90微克/立方米下降了35.6%。
In 2017, the annual average concentration of PM2.5 - hazardous fine particles - was lowered to 58 micrograms per cubic meter, reducing the 2013 level of 90 micrograms by 35.6%, said Liu Baoxian, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Environmental Monitoring Center.
他表示：“这意味着北京市完成了国务院设定的目标，即到2017年底将平均浓度降至60。”
"It means Beijing reached the target set by the State Council of lowering it to 60 by the end of 2017," he said.
尽管天气变冷，居民也能经常见到蓝天，10月至12月，北京市仅出现了5个重污染日。
Residents also have seen blue skies frequently despite the arrival of cold weather, with only five days with severe air pollution recorded from October through December.

The year also saw large reductions in other pollutants, especially sulfur dioxide.

"The average annual concentration of sulfur dioxide saw a historical low of only 8 micrograms per cubic meter," Liu said, adding that the national standard is 60.
