卢勇，是西南财经大学的一名短期讲座教授，在上海飞纽约的美联航某航班起飞前，他要求升舱。
Lu Yong, a guest professor with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), demanded a seat upgrade prior to his United Airlines flight from Shanghai to New York Sunday afternoon.
在他的请求遭到拒绝后，卢勇自行占据他人的头等舱座位，并与要求他离开的乘务人员起了争执。
After his demand was rejected, Lu sat in the first class seat of another passenger, arguing with crew members as they tried to move him.
之后他还袭击了接机长报警后抵达现场的三名民警。跟据周二的健康报告显示，其中一人在受到卢勇推搡及脚踢之后，胸部受伤，其他两人则被咬伤。
He then attacked three police officers who arrived after being called by the pilot. One officer suffered bruises on his chest after being pushed and kicked by Lu and the other two suffered from bites, according to a health report released Tuesday.
现卢勇因涉嫌妨害公务罪被拘留。

在公告上，校方还表示：“我校一直要求教授应该是德高望重的，只有这样才能教育好他的学生。”
